Last weekend saw the phenominal Glastonbury festival take up its residence at Somerset’s Worthy Farm once again. With the dust now settling on the year’s most anticipated music and arts festival, we take a fashionable look back at the weekend’s most stylish highlights.
Glastonbury is a festival which illustrates a fashion sensibility like no other, with celebs and attendees alike representing the season’s biggest runway trends, despite the less than favourable weather conditions.
The traditional festival uniform of grungy flower headpieces, denim-cut offs and cropped tees was replaced with a confident sense of individuality, inspired by the eclectic looks of the world’s leading fashion influencers on-stage.
Perhaps most prominent was the clashing prints trend. Rita Ora was easily spotted around the fields in a crazy cow-print jumpsuit from Adam Sellman, whilst on stage, Lily Allen touted her high fashion credentials in a custom Vivienne Westwood gown, (matched to her dip-dyed hair,) and Lana Del Ray opted for an eye-popping tie dye printed shift.
SS sportswear trend also prevailed, as inspired by Foxes, Ella Eyre, and even Cressida Bonas- spotted sporting classic Adidas.
Finally, luxe metallics shone through. Despite all the mud, Alexa Chung opted for a delicate lingerie-style metallic slip from Max Mara. At the other end of the spectrum was MIA, who took to the stage in head-to-toe gold. See below for our favourite outfits from the weekend…
