From glistening gold to sultry silver, molten metallics are always unavoidable. Liquid metal hues brought high-octane glamour to partywear, adding an iridescent shimmer to dresses, skirts and jumpsuits.
Key hues this season are rich copper, yellow gold and silver, making this a trend better suited to after-dark occasions. Lanvin led the way on the runways, with a disco-ready collection of high-shine co-ordinates, whilst over at Philip Lim the trend took a futuristic turn: with sharp, linear structure offering an ultra-modern edge.
The good news here is that this trend is an easy one to master. Copper tones look great on any skin tone, whilst silvers are a little trickier- perhaps better restricted to footwear. Go fluid and slinky with Grecian draping for an easy yet elegant look, or try something sharp and structured for a tougher finish. Finish with a leather biker and chunky heels for a younger edge, or towering stilettos in shimmering gold for something truly showstopping.
