Super fashion stylist Gemma Sheppard has been recruited by the Britain’s Got Talent team to style the contestants for the hugely popular talent show.
Fresh from her role as heading up the wardrobe for The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent were keen to secure Gemma’s style talent for their show. This is the first time that Britain’s Got Talent has employed the services of a stylist to dress the contestants for their live semi-final and final performances.
Also new to the show, Gemma will be working closely with Tom Rogers, acclaimed theatrical set and costume designer, whose most recent work includes the costumes for Robbie Williams’ Swing Both Ways tour and the set and costumes for Grimm Tales, currently showing at the South Bank.
Gemma says, “Theatre and fashion are intrinsically linked, so I am delighted to be given the chance to work with Tom and elevate the contestants performances with costume and fashion.”
Tom says, “I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Gemma on Britain’s Got Talent. This is an amazing opportunity to merge our broad influences and experience from the worlds of fashion and costume design for theatre and opera, to create a fresh new look for the show; an exciting fusion of the most current style and a dash of old-school theatricality.”
Gemma Sheppard is one of the leading stylists around with a portfolio of celebrity clients. Gemma was head of fashion for The X Factor 2014, styling all of the acts for the live shows. For Britain’s Got Talent, Tom and Gemma will work on the live semi-finals and final, taking place this Spring.
